    Maybe they changed their mind about the update! :D Anyway, IMO I don't think the Bls they show us are the ones they use for calculating PR etc. In fact I'll be highly surprised if they are the same ..... 'cos then we will have to get as many links from low PR pages as possible :D

    yeah mine too. my backlinks went back to the previous ones before the update. i gained 100 BL's for each of my sites too :(

    Same here, mine went from 39 to 210 and have now dropped to 7, although I think I only had 7 back links before on this new domain anyway and 39 was on the old domain which is now 301 redirected to the new one.

    They went back to the old information because they forgot to include hundreds of BLs to my site :)

    Went from 42 to 47, now back to 42.

    Same here. I don't think even "G" has any idea what their doing. :) My increases in the SERP's held though. That's probably a result of a little on site changes I've made but probably the Ad Network links starting to kick in.

    Well I think they probably know what their trying to do. I think it's possible that they have a few Oooops factors thrown in also. Or maybe they do it on purpose just to mess with webmasters and SEO's minds? They may be sitting there laughing right now? :) If they really wanted to mess with minds maybe they should disable the link: and allin comands and a few others for just a little while? Or have those sort of searches come up with a big smiley that says "Wouldn't You Like To Know?" :)

    ive seen strange things overall --- I had a bunch of kw's where I was dropped one day - then back up a few days later - almost like a dance.

    My backlinks havent changed - no change across datacenters. But the google directory lists me at a pr5 now while my newly updated toolbar shows 4 still --

    Im betting the last update was only part one of the update - why would the directory be updated right after and differently thenwe saw?

    It is a waste of time to check G for links...

    You don't learn anything from it, only that they don't want to show you the right results...

    use the techpreview or Yahoo or something.

    You will learn more that way...

    Same here Joey. Sometimes in keyword tracker I'm just fine then for a couple of days I don't even show up. And it's not KY tracker because I go off the chart checking directly in Google as well as with Caryl's tool as well.
