$10 125*125 Ad Banner Competition

Although i am an amateur designer myself i am too tied up at the moment with other jobs to handle one of my own. I hope the prize money is enough, it is a small job but i MAY increase it slightly if i really love a design.

I am after a 125*125 Banner, can be static, animated or flash.

For colours, look at My Blog. It uses the Ocean Mist wordpress theme.

I would like to keep the colours similar to those used on the site (minus the header). I will be getting a new header in the future.

Text i need on it is:

Main Text: James Readman Dot Com

Tagline: Just another Designers weblog!

Any image can be used in the background but make sure it has something to do with designing, or creativity or beauty (similar to the header of the site maybe?).

I will close this thread when i see and entry i like, but i am hoping it is within the next 2 days. I reserve the right to close this early and also if i do not like a design i will not buy a design. also i would like to have full rights to the image when i buy it, so i can cut bits for smaller banners.

It's a start. I am looking for something a bit cleaner, a bit more elegant.

Nice idea with the animation but i think the image is poorly cut and the fonts aren't too my taste.

Have another go though by all means.

This one is my favourite so far, background and style wise. Still not feeling the text. Looking for more entries.

aszmhodeus i appreciate the flash work on your 3rd entry but i can't say i am keen on the design, a little to retro for me. A little to newgrounds.com maybe?

Simple! Not handwritten, like:

5 is my favourite but not keen on the written font, simple is better.

Favourite so far. Please:

• Add a border using the colour of the very top (dark grey) of my blog.
• Sharpen the background a little bit
• Desaturate the background a tad

The first image, is nice. Please add a 1px border the same colour as the dark grey at the top of my blog (link in signature and first post).

Also try make the tagline more visible.
