10,000 Directories

We WILL be making a list of 10,000 directories.

If you would like to be on it with a permanent listing, please submit your directory.

of course there is a fee

You can sort listings by date and name (and by PR eventually) on the directory list page, feel free to copy the list onto your blog or site as it grows.

We will be adding some information to the blog and don't forget to read the instructions.

Are all the directories listed paid or just placeholders?

 

There will be anywhere from 100 to 3000 sites listed for free maybe more, but they can come and go at any time.

It needs to be a useful resource. I just hope some good directories list themselves before a load of "not quite so good" because I hardly want to top lines filled with bad ones for a lifetime athough that's not my decision to make.. it's purely first come first served and a directory is a directory, that's what it's all about.

hey nice concept just an idea for you:

the magnifier make it so when you roll over a square thats used up it magnifies into one big box and its the sites logo or even thumbnail (just a thought) ohh and click it when magnified too, seeya!

 

Thanks for the ideas mate. It's early days and to be honest I just wanted to get the site open. I am busy making the pages to sort the directories into PAID/FREE/RECIP and also by PR, as soon as those are online I will think about where to go next

Any actual traffic stats?

 

This page will tell you how many clicks a directory has had in order of most visited,
http://www.10000directories.com/directory_list.php?o=4 but it won't count the clicks from the new pages I am making as they won't be connected to the database. They will be static links that pass PR/anchor text.

If you meant traffic stats for the whole site? No, I haven't added a stat counter, should I? (normally I can't stand the things)

 

Well having 1 click isnt something to be proud of for a directory. I wanted to know uniques a day and such.

 

Nice idea, I think the magnifier would help a lot, and do you think you'll actually find 10,000 directories? thats a big number

Thanks that is true, but theoretically which is better?

5 visitors who click on every directory listed and submit their sites/buy featured links providing the content/cash that directories want.
OR
5000 visitors who click on none?

Just added a page for paid directories a page for free directories and a page for pr4 directories (which will be for ask-dir because he is the only one to buy a listing so far )

Well if I bought all of the pixels (thats like $200, 000 haha) then I'm sure I would get "some" traffic lol
