One week ago a friend hit me up on instant messanger. I have known this guy for a long long time. We used to make a lot of money together from porn affiliates while in college. We were doing about 2000$ a month and thought we were rich... well we were compared to the rest of the students we lived with. Anyway This guy went on to start a adult empire that lasted 5 more years then he sold his company for 18 million dollars. I have talked to him a little bit since but not much. I thought he was a upstanding citizen like myself. Little did I know he still dabled in the dark arts of internet money making

I talked to him this morning and got the A-OK to blog about our inital talk which happened 1 week ago. Bottom line is he is/was making 10k+ PER DAY on average from google base making fake profiles which link to adult affiliates.

So today when he gave me permission to post he also said that his earnings are down to 3-4k/day for the last couple days. He said google wiped about 8,000 of his fake profiles on base.google.com 2 days ago and now he is having to mask the links with redirects since google has filtered out all the direct lnks. (Silly pornographers.... he should have been masking his links to start =p) He said he expects the income to come back a little bit once he gets more profiles in.

Anyway I found it interesting!

How do you get all those searches when it's in beta and 99.999% of the internet world probably doesn't even know about it!! I had no idea about GB until you made that contest thread!!!!

I don't truly understand how money can be made this way.

 

I was selling some college fb tickets a few weeks ago. The first day that google base was live I made a post. From that single post I was getting 90 - 100 visitors / day from google base.

I'm not sure either who is searching on it, but people are searching on it. It definitely may be worth it for you to try it out.

 

Ahhhhhh, preying on desperate single men who want to meet hot chicks. What a way to get rich. It's amazing what a truly humungous market this is. I think I even saw Adultfriendfinder ads on Friendster the other day, or something similar. Don't get me wrong, if I could make $10,000 a day doing it.... I'm not playing moral police, just making stupid observations.

Your buddy must see the end of this little cash-cow coming if he allowed you to post about it. Sounds like it was quite a sweet ride, I just find it hard to believe that many people are using Google Base yet?

I dont see how the traffic could be that high either.

I did however read an interesting article on advertising static. They stated at some point, prospects are so overloaded with advertising than none will get through.

You can tell your friend that has enough money to wipe his a55 with thank you for helping that along

 

I didnt either.... but if you look at the peoples profiles you can see the "single girls" all have a home page and when you click on the picture it then takes you to there profile on the adult sites which is the affiliate link
