I submitted my site http://www.business-trader.com.au on at least 5 different occassions over the past year and I am still not listed. What do I have to do to be included? I think you will all agree I have been very, very patient. Kind Regards Watto
Well i'm pretty sure that when you submit it multiple times it sends you to the bottom of the pile of applicants..
Same for me.. submit and forget like they say theres really nothing you can do about it. DMOZ is dieing so don't worry too much about it.
I used to edit at the ODP and please forgive me in advance, but your site does not qualify to be included since it has no unique content. There are other ways for promotion and besides DMOZ is down.
There are other sites included that are very similar to mine. Even though there are other sites like mine, my content is still unique. Anyway, I will take your advise and not worry about it. Cheers watto
Yes I know that there are crap sites listed. That is the reason why I have been banging them. Just continue to make your site better for your clients. that is the objective and purpose. Good Luck Mate.
Well, whether I am listed at DMOZ or not, my 'CRAP' site along with my 6 staff are pulling in a tidy $5000, to $6000 per month. Good luck with your sites! bye watto
Oh I'm sorry buddy. I did not say your site is crap. If you just read this threads you will see how I bang the ODP for listing CRAP Sites. You have misunderstood it sorry about that.
I'm sorry for jumping down your throat. That is the problem when emailing, people can always read it the wrong way. Thanks for your feedback. cheers
Agree with popotalk... DMOZ isn't the magic cure. Submit and move on, and keep improving your site. If you don't get listed try again in 6 months.
Just to clairify, submitting a site more than twice over any period of time is considered spamming the directory and is againsed ODP guidelines which you confirmed to have read and keep when suggesting a site.
Your site looks good but the google ads on it hurts it from being listed. I didn't go into your site in any detail but it does look good. I assume the ads are ads that were submitted to your site and not ads that were copied from another site. Original content is very important in DMOZ.
I don't think you are a DMOZ editor, specially some one who has so much knowledge as you claim. How can you not know how adsense works when you claim that you know more than Matt about Google?
He must be a Cylon agent which has infiltrated DMOZ and is now sabotaging it, I bet he is the one was responsible for server failure!
I think you just need luck to get listed. One of my blogs got listed in Dmoz, which I don't even remember how I submitted. I just wish I used a unique domain for it. It's a blogger...
