    Notice how I said .com or .net

    And no, there are definitely 1 word .com domains that fit my requirements in the $xxx range. I have bought some before :)

    good for you. you can get something like xcbax.com or weazz.com readily available at sites like godaddy for $ 10. something popular like fiver.com or with a dictionary meaning should cost in K, if you got it for less, then that's good :)
