1 Twitter Follower in 6 months :S

Please help me out here, i have a really nice site (of of my better ones) URL: http://battlefield3forums.om now plenty of people are using the "FB Like Button) & the Twitter only has 1 click....

I Twitter button sits just below the header and is next to the FBLike button.... so please any help / tips / advice or even if you could click the "TWEET Button for me

I've noticed a similar pattern on a few of my sites - people use the FB Like about 10X's more than the retweet buttons. Not quite sure what thats all about.

 

when the BF like is used on a website, does it really 'go' anywhere or do anything besides add up ??????????????

It took me nearly a year before I got more than one Twitter follower. When I saw nothing was happening then I started looking for other Twitter members who are connected to my niche. And started following them. In parallel I started tweeting witty messages at least twice a week and then I started seeing that those whom I was following, became my followers as well. Just persevere and be patient and you'll see that thing will get going.

 

your website, it says .om instead of .com
unless you meant to do that

 

You can also follow people in your industry and in hopes that they will follow back. If they don't follow back after a week or two then you can un-follow them.

 

for sites facebook has become much more popular then twitter. Thats probably why only 1 person is following you in twitter.

 

For finding more follower in twitter you have to post some interesting topics. Send request many people they are like to join you and having interested in same kind of talk.

 

Some tips:
1) Write interesting tweets
2) Add an avatar. If you can, show your own picture
3) Create a beautiful background with information of yourself
4) Follow interesting people
5) Tell your friends
6) Promote your Twitter account in yourt blog or website

follow back the people that follow you
follow people in your area of intrest
don't be too spammy (i un-follow people that spam alot)

 

Thanks for the quick responses but well i am not overly worried about the twitter followers 90% of my traffic is Organic so that is a good thing, but still i know some websites can generate a lot of buzz via twitter and well ive really not looked into the twitter niche much and certainly don't want to pay anyone for all these "Follower Services" people keep PM'ing me about.

I had 25 twitter followers after 2 weeks... I knew I couldn't carry on like that so I went you youtube, went on google and just spent 3 or 4 hours learning how to get good twitter followers. Three days later I have 250 followers and they are ALL legit and all relevant to my website. Set yourself of 100 a day by doing this:

Follow 250 people a day that like what you do. Message 50 people a day using keywords relating to you. Tweet an interesting link 5 times a day 9different links).

 

now I have 300 , what worries me is how to find targeted followers quickly

 

Easy - go to forums relating to your niche and create a signature with a link to your Twitter.
If you get decent traffic on your website, throw up an ad banner immediately below your "follow us on Twitter" advertising a competition for a free Battlefield 3 wallpaper or screensaver for those that follow you on Twitter and tweet about your website.
