1 text link versus 5 text links - weight

With 1 text link I have a weight of 18,000
With 5 text links I have a weight of 54,000

So, its not a simple Google API * #-of-links. What is the formula or is it magic?

    thanks in advance,

the exact formula isn't public knowledge, the pages x PR x ads is a rough guess of what the formula is.

google site:mostpopularsites.net = 24,000 (maybe google api is less, hrm i didnt check that)
    Page Rank = 4
    # of ads = 5

So your saying 24000x4x5? which is 480,000?

well, for starters the API would most likely deliver a much lower number. Plus, as the FAQ states, there is a weight cap for sites based on the PR. And as I said, it's a rough estimate for a formula, as the formula is not public knowledge.

Edit: The API indexed pages I am seeing for that site is 4,460
