Hey guys I am currently trying to work out a dilema of mine. I have 70 plus articles on a certain topic and I have my own blog but instead of putting them on my blog I am going to add them to squidoo and add links to my blog. Now should I create 30 lenses and have 2 articles per lens or should I create 1 lens and put them all on the one lens? If I have more lens I get more links back to my blog but if I have one lens and one link to my blog the traffic I could get from the lens could make it worthwhile. What do you think?
Hi, I think it's not the right approach. You cannot just take any two articles and strike up a lens. It doesn't work that way, well, at least successful lenses do not. Squidoo lenses created in this manner will never come out of WIP stage and will be ineffective for your link building strategy. Try to sort out your topics. Is this just one topic or you can split it into sub-topics? Probably its a better idea to create a lens for each sub-topic or two lenses in total - one very big and strong and another one as a supportive lens. People will link and fave a strong lens and you will have stronger backlinks.
How come its ineffective for link building? I was told Squidoo was do follow so surely having several squidoo lenses instead of just the one will add more links?
If you have 70 articles then your best to only make 1 squidoo lens put probally 5 on it. Make a hubpage put another 5 on that. Submit a few to high PR article directories. Post the rest on your blog probally 4 or 5 per week. Dont just blog them all on 1 lens because no one would read a 70 article lens!
well squidoo is dofollow! i would suggest you create quality lenses with atleast 1000+ words of content! you can also create some 2-3000words which is also good! but putting up all your 30 articles into 1; well i would not suggest that!
