However, I hope the keyword you are targeting is very less in search volume and competition. That might be a big reason.

 

I think the domain name words are important (and have become more important with google).

I have a domain (two word) with 1.4 million results in google. I bought the name in 2002, changed registra & Registrant (from my name to a company name) - hosted it for the first time about 6 months ago.

My one page site, with one very obscure back link from my profile in a membership website - has ranked top 5 in Google for months... number 2 right now (1 in yahoo & 6 in live.com).

NOTE - my 2 words would be less popular than ducati parts... but it suggests to me that keywords in a domain are helpful (it's all this site has going for it).

 

Yes, domain age is the matter for ranking because google spider see that since how long you are in this business but other factor is also matter for site ranking like link quality back link support of your site. by the way congratulation for ranking..

 

Age of the domain is a big factor. Few backlinks from similar sites with high PR will make a big difference.
