I got a red the other night which said "don't be dumb" which was -5

If I knew who it was I would give one back saying "don't be a pussy, write your name!" :p

It was pointless, all it did was get me annoyed, it didn't solve anything.

I think we have got this relatively solved WITHOUT using red reps. The guy who did give the rep solved nothing. The easy way doesn't equal the most effective way!

All I have to say is this thread is hilarious

(PS. I don't agree offering green as payment but it doesn't take away from the entertainment value of this thread)

I entertain myself! If someone else gets entertained aswell - wicked! :D

It's nice I rather like it, it's so serious yet so laid back and silly :p (wow it's got rochow written all over it!)

As far as I know the system is suppose to work like this.
We provide help/comments/suggestions to some member on the forum and if he feels "appropriate" that our "comments" helped him in some way then he/she provides us with a "green" rep else he doesn't

If we start trading "reps" then other members of the forum won't be able to dstinguish between which member is "more" useful as far as ideas/suggestions and knowlege is concerned.

Please don't tweak the system for your own small benifits.(else others would be facing problems)

Nice to see some entertaintment value coming out of it.
    lollll

I gave up this system on page 2. I still receive anonymous reds though. If you want me, I can close the topic, although I don't know how to do it (where is the button).

If that is what you really want, there is a report button in the upper right (Triangle with a ! in it)

Just say you would like the thread locked

I'm sorry, thevesica.com, but, as you see, I can't add a point to you.
From now on, please don't use this system anymore.

However, your help is appreciated and definitely not forgotten. I will soon review your site.

Just lock this thread as soon as possible else you will be in a hell lot of trouble, my freind(Leave aside the entertainment value that your thread has been providing the senior members)
All others who happen to pass by your thread will either try to get a "green" from you or else you will get a "red" from them.(From angered "senior" members and from those too to who post to your community in the greed of a "green"

Also please report it to the mod on your own as soon as possible

I will not say it was a bad post, just because we don't all agree with it. I am willing to close only if I can do it by myself, not by asking someone else (even the mods). If I can't close it, then I will let it live.

However, I stopped (on page 2) the offer. I believe the objections were about the offer being active, not being at all. Leaving the thread might make some see different points of view, and, who knows, will prevent others start the same idea.

I, for instance, had I seen something like this thread, I would not have started my initial offer.

I’m not a coward and I am not afraid of opinions. I explicitly said my offer is no longer valid. Therefore, this takes care of the “green” part.

About the angered “senior” members, if they choose to give me other red points, I’ll take them. In this way, I’ll know better, whom I’m dealing with and what to expect.

Going by general consensus, its pretty safe to say its classified as "bad"

You cannot close it yourself, though you can edit your first post

I tried myself to edit the first post and I didn't worked. Honestly, do you consider the entire thread of being bad? I thought you were considering bad only the idea from the title.

If one cannot politely say his opinion, and the thread is deleted, then, with all due respect, this looks like censor to me.

No the thread has been great fun.

The concept of the rep for posting is bad
