1 Page Impression = $0.01

I have just checked my Adsense account this morning to find one impression has earnt me $0.01. Is this normal?

I was under the impression I got paid per click rather than by impressions!

 

I think some ads pay by impressions? i've had that happen a couple of times. or maybe you have ads somewhere else that you are not tracking?

 

I had that too in one low traffic site...I wish i had 1 cent per every impression I would be rich

 

Wow, that is not to bad. I have only ever been paid for like, 300 impressions or so.

 

Maybe someone is paying CPM, and this is google's way of representing the minimum value of the impressions generated .

 

It's CPM ads..I know there are many CPM ads on DP.

I can't find much about CPM ads on the google site, except that you get paid per 1000 impressions. Anyone know more?

 

Most of the money that people get from these forums are from impressions, I guess.

 

I've been seeing this on one of my sites too over the last 4-5 days. Never saw it before that.

 

i received too some cents without any click, at the beggining, probably received too recently, but i can't track them.

 

What i think is that you are serving image as well as text ads, and image ads also pay for impressions so that might be the case.

 

The only reason I noticed this was that recently I exceeded my bandwidth limit so I had 0 impressions for a few days. Today the limit was lifted and when I first checked my Adsense stats for today, I had one single impression which had earnt me $0.01.

Perhaps it is due to DP.

 

Ah! that may just be it for me, I have been trying a combination of both on the same page for about a week.

 

I believe that page impressions are worth fractions of a cent which add up but as AS only deals with pennies, they are not reflected untill they can be rounded to a penny, so IMHO what you are seeing is that one impression brought you to the point where AS rounded to the penny and your stats show 1 impression for 1 cent.

Otherwise you have a CPM of $10.00, not counting any clicks you may get, and that would be just awesome.

 

The eCPM at the time was actually $13.60

 

Based on that you need 0.735 cents worth of impression before you get credit for $.01, I think.

 

i am also getting daily a few $$ for just ad impressions,

 

it is not a bad result for you . you earn 0,01$ for one impression.

 

So, a site, such as Bebo, Myspace or Ebaumsworld could earn a fair sum without even having their ads clicked on?
