Hey guys i need some help.

Some one told me that the best way to create websites is to take 1 keyword and create a page around it.

    Is that right ?

Is so, how does that work.

Do you put only 1 keyword in meta tags (or 1-3) ?
How many times the keyword should be listed,in a 700-800 words page. ? (for the best results)

Anything else i should know ? Thanks

There are several advantages to using one keyword per page. The keywors can be used in the title, description, URL, tags etc.

You cannot do that with a keyword list.

Yeah it will be good but, how many pages you have to generate for lists of keywords. IMO, i am using 3 to 4 (maximum) keywords per page. So that i can use all those keywords in title, description and in content with maintaining keyword density.

    Question:
Will it be more optimized if i used 1 keyword only ? OR 1 or 3 is the same ?
If i dont have 5 %, should i add some ? Is that 5 % some magic number ? Can you go higher than this ? Is is worth it ?

Sorry, i just want to completely understand how it works

Its better to target one page with one keyword. You can also use three keywords but if you one keyword per page then you hope for more visitors.

It is better to target 2 - 3 keywords per page. You can hardly gather so many links for landing pages as for one page with 3 keywords..

Don't just put in keywords to make up the numbers. Keywords density could vary from 4% - 7% and that is just a guideline. There is not magic number. The home page would definitely have more than one targeted keywords because it would talk about the entire website. The inner pages should however be limited to one keywords (you could use the variation of the same keyword) because effectively people one have one service per page. Really depends on the layout of your website.

Say a ecommerce website could have a inner page for men perfume and have several brands listed in there. So effectively the keywords could be mens perfume, calvin klein mens perfume, discounted mens perfume, David off mens perfume etc etc. Effectively the page is about mens perfume but can target a variation of keywords.

    Hope this helps.

    Robert,

You can use one KW per page. but that techniques ppl use old days. when there are less websites on the web. now a days this technique is not used. you can use KW density 5-7 % in page of 100 words. it will be beneficial.

even, you can use KWs in title & description also. but make sure it doesn't exceeded to 2 times.

Hope, this will work for you.

    Regards,

    Daniel

If you're using single keyword per page, you should atleast add few effective "keyword phrases" into the text otherwise it would be harder for you to get indexed.

Yeah its a good idea but it really depends on how many of these pages you realistically want to create, as well as how long tailed those keywords are. If they are really long tailed words I don't think you will necassarily have to build a whole page around it but include it in a page with the same root keywords in it.

It is a great idea to use one keyword per page or even two but make sure that you analyze your keywords before you do all of that work & get nothing. I optimized a 500 page website about a year ago and used 2 key phrases per page but didn't use the free Google keyword research tool and received no traffic on most of my pages.

Keyword = Words that people will use in the search engines to find you!

I agree. Use a keyword phase and build a page around the phrase. Then build at least 15 backlinks to that page.

Whoever told you that was a smart man. A highly searched keyword phrase works just as good. You won't get visitors for it at first, but you will for the pages built around it using long-tail keywords.
