    hi all,

I just started out in internet marketing/SEO and this is my first post so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Heres my problem,

I found a keyword phrase [4 words], typed up a usfreeads ad, and 2 days later im #1 on google for my phrase.

Then the next day my ad has completely vanished from google.
A few days later i check again... and im back to #2
    the next day....#1
a week passes and its completely gone again. not in the top 200 or even appearing with quotes for the whole title.

Any reason for this? am i missing something?

its happened for a couple of my ads that have got to the first page of google.

    Thanks,
    Rob

i'm pretty new too but if i'm not mistaken, it is called google dance. usually new site will rank high in the first few days, and then, it will disappear for a few days until google decided what is the best ranking for that site. at least, that is what my brother told me since this happened to me too. good luck!

100% normal. It will probably come back. Be careful where you leave links though, don't be associated with bad sites. If you do it can and will most likely hurt rankings.

New sites bounce around a lot in Google SERPs...be patient...and grateful that even appeared at number 1 so quickly.

This isn't the dance, that is when datacenters update.
    This is two things
    1. G does not trust your site
    2. If it is low searched you are in competition with spam

It's ok man. Take some time. Upgrade your site regularly. As it is new site, increase the numbers of quality backlinks.

    Is that what it is?
A part of the algo that rockets new sites and then lets them fall?
Or is it another part of the algo pulling them down?

    Let me get this correct....

You typed a US free ads advert with your keywords...and then 'ranked' for it on their site for a few days?

or was it on your site?

If it was usfreeads site its because Google will remove theim adverts from the serps after a short time b4 they are stale/old/invalid
