    officially, it's the TLD for Moldova
    other use it for medical sites

    also, it's a great name, unforgettable
    it could be used for creating sub-domains and then selling them:
    for ex. mothe.r.md
    fathe.r.md
    also, it's would be a fantastic domain for a gaming forum especially shooting-games forum
