My site example.com ranks #1 in Yahoo for the keyword "example" but does not show up in the search results for Google with the same key phrase. Why is this? Does Yahoo place that much more weight on having the keyword in the domain name than Google? Thanks
But do you get any traffic from other keywords from them? Your site.com could show up but it could still be banned or penalized.
How old is your site? Have you submitted sitemap, and verified in Google webmaster tools? Have you link exchanged? Link ex directory on site? Paid links? Bought links?
Google and yahoo works in a totally different ways. your site must be penalized by Google that's why Google is not showing ur site or Google has ranked ur site down
Yahoo and google follows different algorithms and there may be some kind of google penalization for your site. Let me know your url to identify penalization.......!
Please Provide your website URL so that we can see it and provide our opinions, Without the URL, it is like throwing stones towards Sun BTW, I think you are somewhat penalised.
Yeah different engines follow different algorithms and show some variations for your site to the same keyword.
Thanks for all the help guys. Here is the url for the site: gaswellinvesting.com I want to rank for the phrase "gas well investing" I rank #1 for this term in Yahoo, but I am not ranked at all in Google. Alldaylinks, I created and bought the domain back in August of this year. I submitted a sitemap to Google, verified it in webmaster tools, and have not paid for any links. I do have another popular website related to oil and gas. Would a solution be to put a link to the gaswellinvesting.com from there? Thanks for all the help.
