#1 in Google, not in top 1000 for Yahoo, can someone analyze my SEO works?

Hi, i am ranked 1 in Google international for my targeted keyword but I am never involved in the top 1000 in Yahoo. I know and I believe my traffic would be still much better from Google even if I get the first rank in Yahoo for this keyword. However, I am very curious how to even listed in those top 1000 for my keyword. Can someone analyze my SEO works? Since a few months ago I have been observing this and no improvement yet.

I've read some articles about SEO for Yahoo, also here in DP. However, they didn't help. I see many of webmasters here are talking about on page optimization (keyword relevancy, density, etc.). You know what, my website is well optimized and has very good keyword density. I also got plenty of back links, that's why I get the first rank in Google, above all of my competitors. So actually, how to SEO for yahoo? I just want to get rank there, my website is even not listed in the top 1000.

You need more than 5% keyword density to get better result in yahoo. But it can be risky if google consider your keyword as keyword stuffing. Yahoo will not give you lots of visitors. So just do your work.

If your keyword is vary rare - you will get noticed by Google faster, but with Yahoo it will take longer

I also have the same problem. All of my websites rank real high in Google and are no-where to be seen in Yahoo. I'm actually glad by that because Google will send much more traffic than Yahoo. Google > Yahoo :)

I have this problem too, but since google provided more traffic, i dont think its a major worry and certainly not worth changing your site for !

Mixed comments about yahoo and google. We all know Google will send more traffic, but the most traffic you will get is being ranked as high as possible in both search engines, not just one or the other. On one of my pages during the holiday, I was ranked way higher in yahoo than Google, and yahoo just blew away Google with incoming traffic. It's the same with Google. Now if I was ranked high in both, that would have been best.

I get most of my hits from Google and only a few from Yahoo.

I used to be number one for some keywords in Yahooo, but still got no traffic from them. Being number one in Google is much more important than even being listed in Yahoo.

Google and Yahoo have completely different algorithms but since you are ranked #1 in google I think you should not worry too much about this because you will receive much more traffic from google than you would receive from yahoo.

It's hard to rank in yahoo if you focus in link building. Yahoo is more on content.

Yes, same here 1 on google, way down on Yahoo. But when I was also ranked #1 on Yahoo, it yielded little traffic anyways.

    same here
until about may 2006 my Yahoo SERPS were almost exactly as in G.
then there appeared to be some kind of Y db damage and the links appeared with broken link-texts/anchor texts, etc.

while I have several thousand slurp visits each months and some 3000+ pages indexed - there is no single page even near the top 20 or 30 - most are out of the top 100-200.

before that accident/incident I had plenty of top10-20 SERPS in Y as well and serps have been very similar for same keywords in G/MSN and Y
now still same in G/MSN but nothing in Y.

of course this has little effect on visitors, Y never brought any significant number of visitors except image search

I guess there might be a quality problem in Y dbase - there is a reason why Y's SE success is down compared to G ...

I have the same problem, but it flip-flops back and forth based on the search term
