Hey, I just logged into my adwords account to see that one of my adgroups got a 100% conversion rate. Obviously this doesnt happen all the time, i just thought it was cool Im deffinetly not a PPC pro, I have just got super tight groups. As you can see I have 42 adgroups. I only get a few clicks a day, but i still have more adgroups to add in.. It took this campaign 16 clicks to get the sale.
that's nice congratiolations. Iam total new to this affiliate business. So iam a real noob yet. But for sofar I made one sale. I now 4 weeks in this Affiliate business with clickbank. I made a sale after promoting a Mp3 donwload site just 5 minutes later I made already a sale that was so cool for me. Sorry for mine English iam from Holland so iam not so well typing English. I try to make some more sales now by promoting with classiefied ads. Because I dont want to pay for ppc now because I first would like to make some more sales.
I see my affiliates do this sometimes To be honest - only bad thing is later you may find that single hop purchases are actually CB'ers looking for discounts (this is to vendors) and buy with their hoplink, and you won't see them or any more clicks from them in your aff list... So far i've indentified approx 10 or so of these, but hey i'm not complaining, still $. Congrats - 40 adgroups is crazy imo - if you're not hitting volume with 40 groups something may be wrong with your key choices (or are there 40 for x or xx different products?). Cheers. NC.
nah this is all for the one product. I may have targeted the groups TOO much. as i only get a few clicks a day.. like i said im not a PPC pro or anything so i just like to take it slowly and try to keep my CTR as high as i can.. at the moment my CTR for the campaign is 5.84%. I started off paying 40c a click, now im at 20c a click for most keywords and I am still showing at around 1-3 position for most keywords.. so i will drop my max bid again soon to 10c (AUD) to try and keep around position 3-7 I think i should add some more keywords to my groups. I am NOT using broard match in any of my groups so this is where i lose a lot of impressions, but allows me to keep a higher CTR.
Thats awesome, but 20c per click, depending what you promote, that large amount can get you bust or put off internet marketing. I thought I was cool when I logged into clickbank once with 0 hops and 1 sale for a product. (Yes I realise the person had clicked previously and it was the stored cookie )
This may be odd to read, and i may get flamed for it but so be it. **I never rely nor care about my CTR - as long as I have volume. Literally - I have a campaign going with a .23 CTR - but get thousands of clicks for .08-.09 cents, and I optimize content network to the max. It's a big game of 'how bad does google want my money', and though CTR means the world to some - I could care less, again as long as I'm getting volume and cost is low. I have a video that explains this as well - scroll down 2/3 of the way HERE and watch 'triple my money' you'll see that CTR is over-rated (let the hounds out - i can see many disagreeing, but this WORKS for me very well). What would you rather have - 40 ad groups, 400+ keys, high CTR and low clicks. OR 1-2 adgroups, low cost, TONS of volume & clicks, and low CTR... Do a test, see how bad google wants your money... Best, NC.
yeah i saw that video.. very well done! I find that when my CTR is low my ads end up on the 2nd page or worse. I thn have to raise my bids to get on the front page. are your ads on the front page or do you still get all those clicks on page 2 or more.
I didn't think I cared about CTR, until I thought there was a correlation between my price per click and my CTR--am I wrong? I'm a total noob too, but it looked like Google was yanking my prices up for that reason--then again maybe it was just standard newbie-hazing?
Having a .23% CTR on the content network is fine. Lol you'd get flamed for suggesting that would work on the search network though! For complete newbs please don't get confused by this. When using the seach network you will get no where with a low CTR. The traffic from the search network is much better quality than the content network though it is increasing in costs. When using the content network to advertise you'd be doing extremely well if you got any where near 1% CTR. Big point here is that your CTR on the content network does not affect the quality score of your seach network adverts.
