I have seen a couple posts on ebooks here so i thought i would ask my question here! I am thinking of writing an ebook of all the knowledge I have gained and developed my own uniquw twist on (topic is SEO). Now my question is, would one large ebook be better than several smaller ones? I suppose my aim is to make a bit of money from this but also to help some other people out there, including people who just get interested when I talk about SEO at my day job and want to know more. I was thinking that one large one could be quite good as I can collate a lot of my knowledge into one ebook and just make sure its very organised. This way people can either learn everything there is to know about SEO or just the particular parts to it. I hope you understand what I am asking and have some good thoughts on this! (anyone who is pretty good at writing ebooks and is maybe willing to give me some advice would be much appreciated. I would also like to know if any of you are interested in doing a couple of reviews of my ebook(s) before I even think about publishing!)
One of the perks of buying e-books is that they compile all of the good info (hopefully) into one place so people don't have to search for it and compile it themselves. So with that in mind, I'd rather read one longer e-book that's well-organized. You can always turn it into a series if it goes over well by creating more specific e-books that go deeper into topics from the first.
To me, it depends on the size of the ebook. I'd rather read a 30-page ebook than a 200-page ebook. You could release several smaller ebooks, and later combine them and release a large ebook.
Thanks for the replies! Certainly two different views that both seem to be valid! I think it will have to depend on my content now on whether I can fill some small ebooks with enough info to make it that they actually learn something new in each ebook! Thanks
Small ebooks or report is good as freebies.. but if you will compile one big ebook, you can use it to make money online But if you are after link building, might as well give it away for free.(The small reports)
Short steps to success. Start a blog Write article there Release small freebie guides which presell your SEO Book Launch your SEO Book once you gain momentum.
No reason you can't do both. Sell them on different landing pages. And you might consider a small book to build your list and then sell the the bigger one to your list, or sell a series of small ones. It should always be about the back end -- always ask "What's next?"
