hi all, As per article link building is dead. but if we are sharing one quality content in one quality article website, then it is use full? or still it is consider in spamming?
well, I am sure you can move forward with it .... but can't confidently support you on this because of the previous post by the matt cutt's still i am a bit confused about this whole article directory submission thing !!
//quality content in one quality article website// Quality Content : If you refer to Spun content but Readable content, This is not Quality. BUt If you provide an informative content, which really help your reader and it it adds some value to the Internet, then it is a Quality content. From a Blog (Top rank Blog) Six Characteristics That Separate the Good to Great Content Marketers #1 – The focused Non-Sales Content Mission and Platform People do not want to be constantly bombarded with sales material. If you are in a competitive industry (which lets face it most of us are) try to find a super niche way to attract your customers. Create content that is not sales focused but customer centric. #2 – Opening up New Content/Media markets Create content that doesn’t pitch your product but focuses on what the audience wants to know. Try experimenting with different types of content. #3 – The Chief Storyteller We are seeing great brands that are hiring people to tell some great storytelling. Many teams are now made up of managing editors, content producers, chief listening officers, and content creators. #4 – Leveraging Employees in Content Creation By encouraging they participation of your employees in content creation you can accomplish a few things. First off content creation on a regular basis will continue to educate your employees on the industry and provide them with increased exposure online as an advocate for your brand. Secondly you can eliminate the need to hire a content creation team all at once. #5 – Removing Your Brand From the Story Joe said that someone once told him “your story travels further the less you mention your brand.” Therefore, the more you provide quality content that is relevant to your readers the more likely they are to read and share that information. #6 – Building the Influencer or Customer Community (a focus on referral traffic) Search is still very relevant but we are seeing the switch to increased referral based business. If you have an influencer ripe for you on your site and they share with their network and that will in turn send even more people back to your site. Quality article website : Instead of that, look for any web site where there is no Link SPAM in place. Again only one site is not enough. You need to look diversification of IP address from where you get your links. From SEO Gladiator Blog : What is Link Diversity? Whether you are working with an SEO service provider or have your own in-house team of search professionals, you need to make sure that the backlinks profile of your website is as diverse as possible. Link diversity is much more than you may think. A diverse link profile usually means having many different types of links pointing back to your domain. It may include no-follow links, do-follow links, .ORG links, .EDU links, 2 Tier Links, wiki links, social page links, local directory links etc. Though all these types of link bring diversity to the link profile of your website, what you actually need to do is identify all those link opportunities that will make your website a credible source in the eyes of major search engines. If you are able to acquire backlinks for your website from those related sources that are reputable, popular, latest and great, you’ll be able to create the kind of diversity that’s required to dominate the search results. A Diverse Link Profile Looks Natural In the post-Penguin era of Google, link diversity carries utmost importance because it makes your site’s link profile look natural to search engines. If you conduct some research, you’ll come to know that most of websites that were penalized by the Penguin algorithm were those whose link profile looked suspicious or unnatural to Google. If the quality of your website is really high, you are supposed to get links from many different sources around the web. That’s why a diversified link profile is seen as natural by search engines. On the other hand, a website having all its links coming from a single source or one IP address might be subject to suspicion.
Quality article website = Which ones? A good directory will have strict editorial guidelines. That makes sense. As long as you're keeping sites like suite101 and infobarrel in your good list.
You can submit articles But this articles not gonna help you in SEO. But still useful for getting traffic. So, My suggestion is make it "nofollow" so that it can't harm your Website ranking.
yes, Thanks.. I am not putting any link in resource box, means i am not using anchor text in article.. i am just post article . so i think it can not harm my website, right? now I found so much fluctuation in SERP. one of my keyword got rank in 85 position on 2days ago, but now it comes on 149, so i am in confusion what to do ?
Article directories aren't going to help you rank. But they do have their place. You can use article directories to help to diversify your backlink profile. Use them to send your non-critical anchors like URL (example.com), brand (Example Company's Official Site), or misc (click here). This gives you the leeway to send your juicy keyword related and synonym anchors from the high powered backlink sources. In addition, Google likes to see backlinks come from multiple sources (articles, web 2.0, social bookmarks, blogs, etc). Personally, I never create backlinks from article directories because they simply take too much time. And between all of my page 1 ranked websites, none of them seem to be suffering by not having any article directories in their backlink profile. I'd suggest that you use your time to create Web 2.0's instead. Web 2.0's have great domain authority (DA) and start to rank themselves very easily. You can created branded web 2.0's that function as an announcement page for your official page. This is completely natural in Google's mind. You can also create monetizable web 2.0s on platforms like (Hubpages, Squidoo, Whizzley, etc) that will pull in a decent chunk of money by themselves. Still, if you want to use article directories, pick the good ones like @chillingbreeze suggested.
Although article submission era is near the end but still submission of 1 quality article on top 1-2 article directories should not do any harm (probably).
Don't put the post on all of the popular article directories. That's just wasting the article. I know Google says that guest blogging is dead but you have a higher risk of being penalized by the popular article directories than with the post on a blog. I'd find a blog that's willing to have the article posted on their site instead. You'll get more value from the link and reduce the risk of being penalized.
People, it's time to move on... Article directories have decreased its value after the updates. Although your article maybe so awesome in quality, submitting it to an article directory would decrease its value. The links you'd get would be close to worthless. If you have a great article, you'd be better off publishing it on your blog.
Yes its totally safe and good for your website. Content still king in Seo. But remember one quality article on one website!
