Reading so much nonsense on here.
About half the article websites out there will not care if your article is on 1000 other websites, The big media companies do this so why can't anyone else?
The ONLY thing you need to worry about is how you back link, avoid the article site who will ban you, find the websites that don't have no follow and I think that is it off the top of my head.
I have been posting articles for websites for years and still doing it and I post 1 article to a lot more than 30 sites and I get great SERP results.

Google has no problem with duplicate content, it has clarified many a times this fact, just that they will display the most relevant results when it comes to duplicate content.
One can submit to few high PR directories the same article and find all of them listed for those long tail keywords in SERPs, but blasting the articles all across the internet can be considered duplicate or spam if you dont put in the effort to make it unique.

Yes, as far as I know, only 1 unique article can be posted to each site. As suggested, you can spin it and resubmit, as it will no longer be a unique article.

Just one more tip from my side: It is very important to include your keywords throughout your article, but it is especially beneficial if you can use your keywords in the title tag. Make sure that you include specific keywords as close to the beginning of your title as possible, and try not to make your title too long because most search engines do not display more than 65 characters.

Write a unique article and submit to Ezine. If you have plenty of time write a second -again unique content and you can submit it to Ezine again or another directory like go articles.
