I'm here on DP and using the activity to stay awake for the Austrailian Grand Prix. Is/was there anyone else her doing the same. It's 3:10 am and the programme starts on ITV1 at 3:30 I'm hoping ITV and the overseas networks they work with have got their act tohether this season. I want more in-car action and I wish they could come up with a way to identify what the viewers are watching - aerial shots would be appreciated. I won't hold my breath - did you know, when ITV took over F1, for the first few weeks they didn't even have the capability of timing pit-stops. The advertisng breaks are annoying - no matter what's happening they'lkl go to adverts. I wish the BBC would take over again, apart from the issues O've indicated, their theme tune was so much better than ITV's. By the way, if anyone has free tickets, hotel and travel for Monte Carlo, please PM me. Enjoy it if you manage to stay up, otherwise avoid being told who won and watch it on ITV1 at 3pm
I live in Australia so have been watching it a bit. I remember about 2-3 years ago I stayed up till around 6AM watching it when it was in Germany I think.
I wrote that in an attempt to stay awake but it didn't kick off until 4:30 am - I was spark out by then. The Malaysian is next - will you be staying awake for that?
I didnt get up/stay up to watch it. I recorded it, and watched it first thing when I awoke. That way I wasn't spoiled as I hadn't watched the news and heard the result. I think I'll get up to watch this weekends GP, its around 7am which is reasonable
I had a perfect Sunday morning. Watched the Malaysian Grand Prix in bed at 7 with breakfast in bed and excellent coffee and then listened to the Archers at 10am on BBC Radio 4. I'd rather have been there and seen it live - I'd happily travel the world, stay in luxurious hotels, watch every race, the practice sessions and qualifying but alas I've neither the available funds nor time. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I'm content with lazy Sunday mornings. Also I count my blessings, that I can listen to The Archers omnibus every Sunday and I've a digital radio/television are among them. Quite sad really - tee hee
I like that live sensation! Also, if I record it I always discover who has won! That's another reason I'm glad the BBC will be showing F1 next season - I'm sure they are on a mission to let us know who won to ruin it for ITV who took it from them a few years back . . .
