I have been using adsense since 2004, and up until this time last year, it has been around 7cents - 15cents a click, then it has increased to around 20 cents, and with CTR of around 4%, thats with images next to the ads. since google contacted me about the images, I have removed them and CTR dropped to 1% - but since then, CPC has been increasing steadily, and today, so far 70 clicks, and earning is $66 (6 hours into a new adsense day) So for those who knows adsense well, is this a positive effect with smartpricing? since less clicks, but better quality traffic/conversions, hence higher payouts?
You might want to remove the amount of clicks you have and just put "about 70". It's against the terms of service to post how many clicks you get.
For publisher, there is no way we can track the conversion rate of those clicks. Maybe the traffic your site brings did convert well for the advertisers.
No need, Google list the highest paying ads first, by filtering out, you only make the cheaper ones appear.
I dont agree with that. If you go to adwords, and put $100 for each click. and you have.. $500 budget. You can set the "time rate" of which its displayed, fast as possible vs spread over 24 hours. Even though its targeted towards your site perfectly you may never see it. Either because you dont do enough traffic like other sites in your keyword or your conversion rate isnt high enough to even be considred. Pierce
