There are dreamweaver, frontpage to get help with html. If you are not comfortable coding, you may consider hiring somebody that can help you.

When you create a landing page, remember, you don't have to sell them on your whole site, the amazing concept, all of the features, every detail of what you provide; you have to sell them on why they should sign up/convert. Don't lose people by having miles of text about all of the great features, pick one or two top level features, have very bold, graphic ways to show how important these are, and have a big, easy button that basically says "if you sign up now, you'll get these really great things... and find out even more later."

Part of the reason people don't convert is that they perceive a huge commitment, and lots of details about a site enhance that impression. Make it seem like you get one or two things you absolutely need with as little effort as possible.

As for coding; the best option would be someone to do it for you - especially if that someone can also help with the big, graphic images that will highlight your one or two main features. If you are set on doing it yourself, I recommend you head on over to the Adobe website and download the free trial of Dreamweaver which is a great tool for visual web building.

It does help, I was in the same boat, then I went down to 1:15 average. The best part is the hops you see are people actually going from your landing to the sales page(well in my case anyway). Just get somekind of software to help with your landing page and keywords and such.
