#1 5 year old site on Google - not listed on yahoo

i'm having a lot of trouble trying to figure out why yahoo dropped my site months ago - http://www.mustangtraderonline.com.

It's been the #1 ranked site on google for mustangs for sale and mustang for sale for the past 5 years. And was doing very well in yahoo also until it got dropped.

Many pages are still showing up in my Yahoo Site Explorer dashboard as being indexed - but a search for my website only shows all the backlinks.

i tried contacting yahoo and i i get back is the standard policy reply - to check their criterea and resubmit.. but as we all know, because the guidelines are so subjective, just about every site violates at least one of the criterea in someone's eyes.

unless i'm missing something very obvious. hopefully someone can spot it for me. exit pop?? interstitial ad? too many outgoing links?? all advice is appreciated.

    thanks,

    Hi Tyankee,

    The site looks fine.

Could you paste or PM the ad(s) you submitted? I'm not in the U.S, and cannot see your site on Google/Yahoo sponsored search.

    Regards.

you try to get some backlinks from yahoo ranked sites.

its like the sites which has been ranked well by yahoo.

try submitting your site using yahoo answers that way you will get some backlinks from yahoo and may be they rank you on the top.

and if you are using yahoo dont forget to add the keywords in your page tags (description and keywords).

and add the keyword in the title also.

yahoo gives you quick rank when you do the above things.

remember to get some links from yahoo friendly sites.

not sure what you mean by 'ad you submitted'?? i had a exit pop ad for 'win a mustang shelby'.. since it is on a mustang site, i thought that would be ok??

    Tyankee,

I missed that, my apologies. Your site didn't give me an exit pop ad when I visited it yesterday - probably because I am not in the U.S..?

Anyway, if I remember correctly, their guidelines state that a site cannot generate pop-ups, pop-unders or exit consoles.

    So..

Win a Mustang Shelby on a Mustang site - ok.

Exit pop ad - not ok.

    Hope this helps.
