1.5 Week after the Launch !! Interesting Facts !!

1.5 week ago we launched a new service : Free Web Hosting

We offer 5 GB of free space with 20 GB of bandwidth for free!!

No catch
No hidden fees
No forced ads

1.5 week later, we have over 300 members using our service and the alexa of the last 3 days were all in the 3X,XXX range !!

Adsense is already in the XX,XX (only on frontpage and forum) and we got our first advertiser in !

The site is averaging 500 visitors a day in the past 1.5 week !!

Anyone has a good idea or suggestion what to do next?? How can we let it explode even more???

Anyone with experience??

 

The only way to really boost the revenue it to "force" ads.

 

This would surely increase revenue.

But if you are just looking to increase traffic and membership, why not have a referral contest, or offer just offer something for referrals.
Like even more space, or some sort of feature that the members would want to use on their websites.

 

Help me make that much on adsense and bring that level of traffic in after less than 2 weeks and I'll pay you $100.The offer is yours.

The future of the internet lies in revenue sharing schemes.
Offer forced ads targeted to your users websites but share the profit... you will boost your advertising revenues and attracts the wannabe millionaires. Offer the ad free service as a "revenue sharing scheme opt out" instead.

 

Don't force ads .. you will lose the people that came there because of no forced ads.

I would
1. Reduce what is available on Cpanel leave it bare bones ... eg takeaway email, stats, cron jobs and other stuff that might increase the load or disk space usage.
2. Join a hosting affiliate program and suggest people upgrade if they want other stuff (try hostgator & thinkhost)

how are you going to make money

 

Well take every step to ensure you can keep up with yourselves, (ie, make sure your site doesn't go down or anything) then diversify your income, don't have it all coming from adsense.

 

True Walsho, only money incoming from adsense is not enough. We have the oportunity to advertise in cPanel from the members (very targeted, 100% webmasters)

Also the server is very stable and will not go down

 

that xx.xx adsense...is that a day?

Wonder how you got started to hit that amount of traffics in just short time. I mean, yes, you do offer a great value of service, but how did you get the words of mouth out to the crowd? A subscription list... i guess?

 

Are you making revenue off adsense ONLY on your site? Or publisher sites? The front page adsense on your OWN site is making $xx.xx daily?
