I was just withdrawing money and i thought 1$=45 and turns up that it's only 38.90..what should i do? Is there something wrong?Should i wait a little longer?
Yes, the US$ has weaken against most currencies across the world and it does not seems to be going to improve any time soon. The US$ and the Indian Rupees are controlled by market forces (supply and demand), there is nothing we can do about it. Well, you can wait a little longer, things may go up a little but if you need the money urgently, it is best to just withdraw what you need.
I just checked Xoom : Exchange Rate: US$ 1.00 = Rs. 39.7739 This really sucks I think its better to wait for this week before we remove funds ...we may get some higher value next week.
Next time (just a tip because I had the same problem), invoice your clients in your currency so you don't need to convert.. there's less fees this way
Well may i know which month was it ?? I agree with 8everthing that we all should start invoicing all our clients with INR and we can then choose $1 = how many INR. I have never tried this but it make a lot of sense. Can anyone tell me. If i send a bill in INR to any one in the European Country will they be able to pay me in INR without much hassles. Sorry if my questions sounds stupid. Nice idea 8everything. Rep given for this. Sandra
Wrong dude... I hear it in 6months... Indian Rupee growing stronger.. and Indian webmaster going weaker.
PayPal lower the exchange rate slightly - as an extra form of profit (how nice of them) You cannot expect to get the market exchange rate with PayPal (or any post office/local currency exchange firm, for that matter).
There were times when we withdraw a check of $2500 from paypal for 113000 INR but now it is even less then 100000 INR. Thats really sucks. Exporters in india are crying. Most of the exporters stock are going down i am keeping a track on stock market and acc to my news $$ is getting hit by some forces and it will soon start rising but it is expected late
I think in light of the falling US$, you might want to consider receiving payments in a more stable currency such as the EURO.
you withdraw using the Withdraw tab in your Paypal account. If you have the default currency as EURO and you are from India, they will convert from EURO$ to INR and pay you. At least that is what Paypal told me when I asked about setting the default currency in SGD$
