This isn't any get rich scheme. This is me showing you my progress from when I started my online career back in January of 2008. Feel free to check out the screen captures below. I've been online for 2 years and I'm still not in the 6 figures. Heck, I'm not even in the five figures yet. But this chart goes to show that hard work pays off. If you work hard, your earnings will increase! My Earnings Chart (This isn't only AdSense, but a lot of it is!) My Very First Site (LOL) How to do what I have done... You have to not only create content (doesn't even have to be great) but you do have to have a good backlink building strategy. You also have to have a good internal linking strategy, and SEO strategy altogether. Some of you may say, "How does this help me?" Well, for those of you who are still beginning, don't expect to step up to the plate and make $14,023 in your first day. Honestly. Online marketing takes hard work and dedication. However, if you have a strategy and know your stuff, you will do well.
Congratulations on your success online! You're doing a lot better than a lot of people manage out of Adsense. In my experience choosing the right keywords makes or breaks a site. Too little traffic and it's a waste of time. Too much competition and you never get ranked high enough in the Search Engines to get significant traffic. Of course it's not just about the amount of traffic you get but also the cost per click and click through rate. Anyway, looks like you're doing pretty well. Keep at it and don't give up!
Wow! Well done ttomp13! It takes dedication, and a mind set on a goal coppled with strength to continue even when the way is hard, rocky and slow! Do you think it will continue at the same pace or multiply? - My experience is that in the early days it is hard work and one step at the time, but then things start to go much faster! May that happen for you too!
Congrats ! I'm happy for hearing such success stories as well. Many people can make easy $400-$500/adsense monthly.
Everyone has his own story on Adsense or online business here. Thanks for your sharing. But taking about 2 years to reach 500 bucks per month still is a little bit discouraging. I was wondering if you are working full time or just part time? If in the case of part time job, you are, in some extent, successful on Adsense to earning 500 bucks per month.
I thank you to all replies. In my first few months online, I really see it like I wasted my time. I guess, not a waste of time, but all the time I could've spent creating content, I was looking for "Get Rich Quick Schemes," which is why it took me soo long to reach the $500.00 a month point. Had I started working harder sooner, then I think I could've reached this goal in a quicker fashion. But like I said, back in the day, I would write like a post a day. Then, I would spend hours on Entrecard / looking for "Get Rich Quick Schemes." (Waste of time and a big noob mistake) Anyway, content and backlinks is where it's at Know your SEO. Once you know it, write, and write more! Currently, I am working 6 hours a day, and am expecting to always see a rise in my earnings. Things have flattened out, only because I rarely worked during the summer. Anymore questions?
Agreed man. Content comes second to link building. My site content is by far the King of kings but no backlinks If i only knew how to build links !
Really? You must be pretty sure. On topic: Great achievement. I love these kind of stories, starting from scratch and seeing progressive progress.
My niche isn't necessary to know to be successful online. You can be SUCCESSFUL IN ANY NICHE, if you enjoy the topic. And I will tell you this, I ENJOY WHAT I WRITE ABOUT, BECAUSE IT'S EASY TO WRITE ABOUT! PS: The whole point of working online, is so you can ENJOY IT! Otherwise, you should go pick up a job at Walmart, or something. Seriously. If you're going to work online, ENJOY WHAT YOU DO! Just be sure that your topic is one that you can write about for years to come, unless you're making a super-niche blog, which is a different story. As for my posts per day... I'm now doing about 10. I used to do 20 - 25, but I found that 300 word articles rank really well on google, opposed to 150 - 200 word ones. Internal and External links are also great. But if you're writing your articles, aim for about 250 - 300 if you can. If you can't reach that many words per article, be ready to build links to rank well. Trouble with SEO? Study h1 h2 h3 tags. Know how to bold and italicize words. Know Keyword Density. Know what keywords to use. (hint: using google adwords keyword tool) Know your title tags. Know anchor text. I think that's about it for SEO. It's really not that hard. How many AdSense sites I HAVE... A good handful, but only a few that I still build content for. Want EXTRA CASH? Social Spark is great! And all sold posts are NOFOLLOW. Give it a try! Also, try infolinks. It's great as well!
