Watch Heroes Online is an established website showing all the Heroes episodes, most in Stage6 DivX format. It runs on the WordPress platform, which allows the owner to easily update everything. We were the first site around, and in the last months a lot of copycat sites have popped up. However, due to us being the first, we have been able to maintain the highest ranking in Google. We are in the top 3 for dozens of Heroes related search terms in Google; the top 3 that bring in traffic have been included in the Excel spreadsheet.

As with any site, the site isn’t completely up to date (videos not working, etc ...) and it is impossible to maintain a fully working site. I have rechecked the links on 07/11/2007, and they were either working or I updated them. The buyer will receive links to other sites that offer the episodes, from where he can get links to the episodes if he wants (nothing stops the new owner to upload them himself, I however can’t due to my country’s bandwidth restrictions).

Along with the site comes a vBulletin forum with a custom skin. The forum has 26 active members so far, and the number is growing daily. So far, there are 37 threads with a total of 337 posts. We are also currently running a competition to draw more members, full details about the contest can be seen here (http://www.watchheroesonline.com/forum/competition-get-real-t7.html).
The forum was launched about a week ago, together with a complete redesign of the main site to match the new vBulletin skin. Both the WordPress skin & the forum skin are unique. Comments have been nothing but positive so far.

As a bonus, and to get the new owner really started, I’m throwing in the following domains as well, each with great potential.

All but watch24online.com are registered at NameCheap (watch24online.com at DomainSite.com)

We would like payment via direct bank transfer, and we will supply the purchaser with all relevant information for security purposes.

    Revenue Details:
Revenue is coming from 2 ways: AdBrite & WidgetBucks. AdBrite is a combination of the banners/text ads (depends) underneath the post titles, inline text ads & full-page-ads. As you can see from the Excel spreadsheet, the full-page-ads are the most profitable ones. They display to visitors once every 12 hours. This can be set to closer intervals, which could earn more, but it could also scare users away, so I haven’t experimented with it yet.

WidgetBucks was implemented last week aswell, and it has been running for about 10 days if I’m not mistaken. We’re displaying product with a low CPC ($0.0X) but they get decent clicks due to their relevance to the site. Showing products with a higher CPC could prove to be more successful, we haven’t experimented with WidgetBucks that much yet.

AdSense cannot be used, since the site has been banned from AdSense. This is due to AdSense’s decision that we display & host illegal content. If they checked better, they would have seen that we host no videos at all. You could still display YPN ads, but I’m not subscribed to their network (non-US resident).

There is also the option of selling text links on a monthly basis, and on a permanent basis for episodes themselves, to earn extra revenue.

For more detailed, day-to-day stats, refer to the Excel spreadsheet on the Sitepoint listing.

    Traffic Details:
Traffic is about 10,000 visits daily for October & November combined, with an average of about 35,000 daily pageviews. Traffic peaks every Tuesday, after the airing of the Heroes episode on Monday evening; then the traffic usually doubles. Again, this is better documented in the included Excel spreadsheet.

Bandwidth usage is 17.5GB so far. October’s bandwidth usage was ~50GB. Bandwidth usage is fairly low due to us not hosting the videos. A decent server is required however, since on peak days there can be about 400 users using the site simultaneously.

This auction is also listed at Sitepoint and TalkFreelance.

    Starting Bid: $4,000
    BIN: $12,000

There is a reserve on this auction.

That is the uniques, per month, not per day.

We're selling because we no longer have the time to run the site.
