    i found that 1and1.com sell the .com at $5.99
    I just want to know if there is cheaper than this price?

    very hard to transfer to another company..also i saw ppl complain being charge even they no longer own the domain

    They are a terrible company to deal with, the support is beyond terrible

    better to pay a dollar or two more and go with a decent company!

    yahoo had a 2.99 special, not sure if it's still on

    godaddy it uusually cheap

    I didn't find it very hard to transfer to another company with 1&1, I've used them before. But then again I always recommend namecheap ;)

    but you can read about many other horror stories doing a google search. Dynadot and DomainSite offers $7.99 domains, cheaper than NameCheap and GoDaddy, although you can get promotional codes or special offers for lower at GD and Registerfly.

    to give you a quick idea: we canceled our account over a year ago, we still get invoices. Every time I complain I'm told that I didn't complete the cancellation sequence

    I have twice...
