Ok so heres the deal. I attempted to cancel my 1and1 hosting account before the billing cycle via their online cancelation website. I attempted and re-attempted over and over and never got there so claimed "cancellation email to confirm". So i emailed them asking to cancel my account, they kept responding saying you have to do it online on there site, and back and forth finally they got my point of i'm not getting the emails. So he emails me back, confirming the accounts have been canceled. Two weeks later i notice there still active, i email them back IN THE SAME EMAIL asking why, he tells me "no record of cancelation". So i call them, he says the same bs, i fight and then he finally cancels it.. However today now i get a NCO Financial Systems debt collection notice... I try to call 1and1, he tells me "It states in our TOS you most go through the proper procedures to cancel your account" What bullshit is that? If i say cancel my account, you cancel my account, you no longer have my authority to charge me. FRAUD! He says NO No NO and hangs up on me? What should i do now? It $30 @#()@#* dollars that i got bad credit for! Emails: I notice it not canceled few weeks later and follow up replying in the SAME EMAIL: Then i got a reply: So i called them, fighted with them and they finally canceled it, however now i get a debt collection notice? Called complained got bs and hanged up on!
Call credit card company refuse charges and then tell credit collection not to call anymore. You can contact better business if located in the USA also
One day I got an email from 1&1 congratulating me on the purchase of my new VPS. No idea how this was ordered nor would they tell me. After many phone calls, they finally took it off. Last week I get a bill for a domain name I sold and transferred out of 1&1. Bunch of morons over there, definitely the next Registerfly IMO.
This company sounds like its only treating customers badly. Maybe someone should take some legal action.
Does anyone know where in the Digital Mil Act it states that emailing someone counts legally as hand written?
