I would buy 1 pr 7 link or a couple PR 6 links. DOn't let anyone tell you that they are not worth it. They may not carry weight in serps, but it is alot easier to get links with people when you have a PR 6 site. People come begging. Other than that everything you should be able to do for free. Press Releases, optimizing, news releases. You could spend a couple hundred on adwords though you might lose money on conversions but then you will at least know that it is not worth it for you and you can scratch that off your list.
Adwords is not worth your money. I swear 2 years-olds click thosa adwords ads cause they dont convert
They don't work, aye? That's funny, 'cause I make over $1,000/month (after all business expenses) just off Google Adwords and Overture PPC Ads. They work...if you know how to make them work. As much as Google, etc, might like you to think otherwise, PPC ads have a learning curve just like anything else...just keep your budget low while you're learning.
Google's taking in several billion a year from people who aren't making money using it...LOL!! "Five Red Ned".... sorta has a nice ring to it. Probably matches your net worth too.
Don't use the money just yet. Look around the information sources you have about generating traffic to your website. Subscibe to free ebooks and look for free articles about web promotion. There are lots of ways to get listed in the top search engine without spending. And it will only take you a day if you know how to get links. Other web promotion strategies require effort and not money. Take article marketing for instance. Monitor your options first. Join affiliate programs. They usually give ways to on how to promote. $1000 is just too big to waste. Don't use it for your trial and error process.
Have you tried digixmas? discovered that bout a year ago, just google it and you should find the site. Its s free article and directory submitter. All though its very tough to understand and use for its first time. Hmm, Do adwords if you have a $1,000 budget, You can get adword ads as low as .05 a click (unless it changed withen the past couple months). Also do a google search on how you can get $50 adwords credit. You can use that credit to test it out first to see if its atleast something you want to continue. Hope that helps! Best of luck
You could try advertising in a leading tech magazine ? Such as stuff magazine which i read on a regular basis. Might be a good start to get the word out ! Peace.
I'd go for a complete niche sale, something that will advertise on highly targetted blogs/forums. Just focus on one product and heavily advertise it on blogs/forums with loyal readership.
yout probably one of the nich that works, I use to make 1000 amonth just from adword and overture, but then it stop working.
