    yes, but those were the years of strong growth accompanied by the tech boom.

    were the surpluses just a result of higher tax collections or were there serious spending cuts too?

    Wasn't it Mark Twain that said when you vote for the lessor of two evils, you still get evil?

    It's blatantly evident that Barry knows noting about economics. He's never worked a day in his life, never made change at Mickey D's, never owned his own business. Hell, he's never even been off public assistance.

    This much is, and WAS obvious.

    What was not so obvious was his lack of understanding of the Constitution. I find it ironic that someone that continually ignores and reinterprets the Constitution was actually a "Constitutional Lawyer" in practice.
