Who do you think that your favorite team will draft? I'm hoping the New York Giants will use there draft pick to get a talented DE, if Strahan will retire. Maybe get Vernon Gholston or Phillip Merling.
The Giants will have to trade up for sure to get Gholston and will probably have to trade up to get Merling. I think that the Giants need help in the secondary more than anything and I think they'll probably take Kenny Phillips a safety from Miami. As for my favorite team, Washington, I think Merling is probably the guy they're targetting. I don't know if he's going to be there but if so then that's the guy they'll pick.

as a texans fan (please hold your laughter), i would like to see them beef up the o-line, or possibly another cornerback
Yes, that Texans o-line isn't very good...with a good tackle they would give Schaub enough time to make the right decision. If they are going for cornerback, they should take Mike Jenkins, but it wouldn't suprise me if they use there high picks on RB or LB. Maybe Shaun Alexander on RB, since he has been released...
The First 6 picks: Pick # NFL Team Player Position College 1 Miami Dolphins Jake Long Offensive tackle Michigan 2 St. Louis Rams Chris Long Defensive end Virginia 3 Atlanta Falcons Matt Ryan Quarterback Boston College 4 Oakland Raiders Darren McFadden Running Back Arkansas 5 Kansas City Chiefs Glenn Dorsey Defensive Tackle LSU 6 New York Jets Vernon Gholston Defensive end Ohio State
Well I thought Merling was the guy Washington would get since they needed a pass rusher but I'm still happy with their draft. They got two WR's with first round grades both in the second round. Plus they got the top rated TE. That should help improve the offense a lot, especially in the red zone. Colt Brennan could be a steal in the 6th round and even if he's a bust all we lost was a 6th round pick. Really, I'm just happy that we even had any picks this year since we always seem to trade them away.
NFC east will be the strongest competition next year. Cowboys who still have their quality's, Giants as Superbowl champs and Washington with good draft picks.
I'm from Michigan, so by default I'm a Lions fan. At least they didn't draft another wide receiver in the first round this year I agree, the Giants are looking strong again
