.05 cent click costing me .90

    Hey Guys,

I started playing around with PPC last week. I created a landing page, terms of service, contact etc. info all on my wordpress blog. Each of my ad groups has just one keyword, the meta tags & h1 tags are all optimized for my keyword.

I decided to bid on "the truth about abs" - an eBook on ClickBank (I know - it's saturated with a retarded gravity but to bid on that phrase in only .05).

Google initially gave me a quality score of 5 - but 3 checks on of the QS areas. I let it run for .90 and then my quality score went to 7 (because click through rate was good).

What I don't get is why they advertise a keyword for .05 and yet the only way to get it is to bid about .90.

    What am I missing here?

I've altered the content and tried this out with other keyword related products and each time I end up having to pay .90 for .05 clicks.

    Walter

When you say .05cent are you talking about the minimum bid? If so, you're never going to get that price on any semi-competitive term.

I mean the google tool says the avg CPC is $.05

    https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

For long tail keywords do people actually ever pay .05?

I'm just running a few keywords here. Each keyword has it's own ad and is in it's own ad group with it's own ad. Keyword relevancy and page load and all other factors come up green too.
