Hi everyone, I'm looking for hosting for free (free = $ 0) until finally I was interested in 000webhost.com. Have you ever tried it? What do you think about 000webhost.com, please share your experience here, everything about this hosting, good or bad experience, especially the speed server.
I need it before I make my decision. ;)

    Thanks & regards.

I think the server speed is standard, if you use 000webhost you can't improve your skill in cpanel management :D

    000webhost.com is awfull.

Sure, they are free but here are the disadvantages:
    1. Banned any time for almost anything.
    2. Sometimes they warn you about suspension, but they never help you solve the problems.
    3. No actual support, all help comes from a barely active forum.
    4. Difficulties in updating platforms such as Wordpress (needs to be done manually).
    5. Slow or inactive servers at many occasions.
    6. Their affiliate program is one of the worst scams around (no one has ever been paid).
    7. Their "we will soon enable these features" page is a fake just to attract visitors. They will never enable them for free users, ever.
    8. At one time they banned free users from using the backup tool.
    9. Can be a problem when switching to another webhosting company since they are using a customized cpanel. (I got some help by Hostgator doing this).

So, I guess you get what you pay for. And if you don't pay then don't expect anyone on 000webhost to give a damn.

Ya, I had also the backup problem.
When I started using their hosting it was good but now a days they are so bad.
No back up like before. They changed their rule without notification.
    So I switched my hosting.

Paid hosting is always the best way to go, free hosting is usually oversold, or there is always a catch. You can get shared hosting these days for next to nothing, most starting from just $1 per month...

Did you actually expect to get all that stuff for FREE!
I don't think so. It is only good for temporal sites and for those who just want to understand what web hosting is all about.

I think hosting this days goes for pea nuts which is very insignificant even while working on a tight budget.

Thanks for share your experience to me, especially this reply,
OK, I conclude that 000webhost.com is less satisfactory. Now a new question, if I still choose 000webhost.com but I took the paid one, is it good, if not, please give me recommendation for best paid hosting, especially in the server speed.
In addition, please give me another recommendation about good free hosting (I have plan to use it for learn how to create a site).
    Thanks.

Then it's not 000webhost, the paid one is called hosting24.
I would advice you to use another host such as hostgator.com though.

I mean, who wants a host that scams people with affiliate programs and lies to the
free hosting users anyways. It just proves that they are not mature enough to run a hosting company.

I've not really used many free hosts to be honest.
At the moment I am using hostgator and they have really nice support.

000webhost is one of the better free hosts I've come across, but then most free hosts are terrible. You can get hosting for such a low price ($10/year), and put more than one site on it. With 3 sites on a $10/year hosting account, you need to make only $3.34/year from each site to make a profit, that's less than 1c/day. Surely you can make 1c/day?

I've used 000webhost in the past and didn't care for it. x10host (free) isn't bad and their cpanel looks like most of the paid hosting. If you're going to go the paid route, HostGator, in my opinion is the best, customer service is amazing.

I'll take hostgator for paid and x10host for free. Good bye 000 . . . . haahha. lol.
Once again, THANK YOU !! ;)

    Regards.

Sure if you are just testing a website out and don't want to spend any money try things out on a free web host. But once your serious about your website(s) move them off free hosting ASAP. Best of luck!

I've used ooowebhost years ago at that time they are fine and have no such problems like downtime or any other issue, but I'm not sure if your site grows what will they be doing.

000webhost is good to build a website up on and that is about it. They will ban you and force you to open a hosting account with hosting24 as they know you are not likely to have an up to date copy of your website. In fact they probably wait till they know you have not got an up to date backup of your website. I had a website with them and they did this to me. So they forced me to open a hosing account with hosting24 and they would move my 000webhost site to hosting24, on the condition that I could not get a refund from hosting24 if the service was not good. I now know why they stated this. I now have hosting which is exactly the same as 000webhost - sluggish, down a lot, cant log in half the time, cant update half the time, that I have paid for.

My conclusion is, if you make a website with 000webhost, as soon as it is picking up, move it to a good host and when I say good host I do not mean hosting24

I was actually quite statisfied with their free hosting. It was very slow now and then, but what else could you expect from a free host?

Till one day, I got a complaint that my site wasn't working. When I tried to login, I got a message that I was banned, and that they'd deleted all the data.
