Hey guys, after reading all the good posts in this forum, I have decided to give something back Few months ago, I saw a post about a new product release. However, after sometime, the gravity of the product is still within 0-1 range. I figure out that maybe the vendor does not know how to attract affiliate. I read through the sales page and it looks pretty decent to me. So, I try to promote the product through article marketing. I did 3 hubpages and submit 4-5 articles to ezinearticles. That's all. Today, this product is making me about $80-100 per month. I make an extra $80-100 per month with just 3 hubpages and a few articles. Why is this so? This is because of low competition. Today, I check the gravity again, and it is still below 1. It means that I'm the only one who is promoting the product. No one is promoting the product even the product is genuinely good and virtually has no refund (so far I only get 1 refund). Usually a product with 0-1 gravity means either the creator does not put in much effort to attract affiliate or he couldn't pull in some good affiliates that are persistent enough to generate 1 sale. That's why a good product might continue to have 0-1 gravity. I know that there are many products that suck in the market that do not get any gravity too. So, how do you determine whether a 0 gravity product is good? Email the creator! What I did was I request for a review copy from the creator. Most of the time, the creator will be happily to send you the review copy because he is looking for affiliates. Read the ebook thoroughly I read the ebook thoroughly and I know that this ebook provides genuine information. Read the sales page thoroughly Usually the sales page will contain the most important information that the creator wants to convey to the potential buyers Jot down information from the ebook and sales page I will usually jot down useful information from the ebook and sales page so I can refer when I'm writing articles. Test, test and test Do not send too much traffic to a site if it is not proven to be a profitable niche to you. 2 hubpages and 3-5 articles will be sufficient to test. If you get a sale for every 150 clicks. It means that it is a potential product. Imagine if you manage to find 2, 5 or even 10 of such products. You will be able to avoid most of the competition even in a saturated niche. Proof : Hope that everyone finds this piece of information useful Lolzita
Yes this information is useful alright! I believe you are right! Many vendors do not know how to attract affiliates. I think most people think just putting a website in Clickbank will attract affiliates but this is not necessarily so. They go as far as getting the site online and running but fail to spend much effort on attracting affiliates. So there is gold in low gravity if you know where to look and it looks like you do. Mike
As a newbie, there is a lot to learn about affiliate marketing.Take an example of Clickbank.I have yet to learn what the gravity really represents and can i go by that to make a decision on what which markets to promote. When i decide on that, then there keywords that have to be chosen to attract the right kind of market. It is a process well worth the rewards.
Interesting, proves the fact that high gravity does not necessarily mean the product is good and low gravity that the product sucks.
Nice work, I was promoting a product once that made me $xxx a month but had a gravity of 4. As long as you can find a need and a quality product to fill it, all teh money is just yours to take.
very usefull information! I will give a try to promote a very low gravity product and will createa therad once I get results thank you
Thanks for your post! It's really helpful for new vendor in CB. I I have launched a software program namely 'Blu-ray Ripper', which has a market with the greatest potential and the widest target consumers in the world! I hope you can have a try as its affiliate. PS: As I am a new member here, there are no live links and signatures available to me. So please keywords search 'Blu-ray Ripper' in the Marketplace at ClickBank to find it.
so is that your CB product lolzita?? it would be a nice subtle way to get more affiliates in a crafty manner.. if its not your product I guess prepare to see your conversions drop as you just gave away your product name.. 'bodydetox' well done btw.. its good to go after solid looking products that have low gravity or just new as you can easily rank fast & high for reviews in SERPS. nice tips
I hate it when someone is so pessimistic when other people is genuinely truthful and just feel like giving something back to the forum. Maybe you are the kind of freeloader who will only take but never give back to the community. Yes, "bodydetox" is the merchant id of one of the low gravity product that I have discovered... So what? I do not believe that all the 200+ people who read this thread will start promoting the product. Usually many people will just read the thread and forget about it. How many people actually take action and promote this "bodydetox" product? I guess maybe less than 5%. It doesn't bother me much. lolzita
Hey, That was indeed an excellent find and will surely help affiliate marketers who cannot afford to compete with the more successful affiliate marketers. It indeed is encouraging to see that forum contributors like you are willing to give back to the forums. So far the person you had replied to is concerned, bear in mind that you will find such people everywhere. Your reply was apt. Affiliate marketing is a give and take. If you give something to other affiliate marketers, you are not going to loose anything, but you will only gain respect.
Excellent post. I agree - Low gravity products DO sell. Infact - I would say that it does not matter if product is low comp or high - as long as it is a good product and you know how to market it well.
As an affiliate, I sent over 2320 visits to a high gravity product (most popular too), but didn't get even a single sale. Gravity is not an issue according to me.
Interesting post and I think you are 100% correct in the past I have had made some good money with products with really low gravity and in some cases they convert better than ones with huge gravity.
