dont place the price of what you are selling i the ad., this will give you more ctr, but maybe less converts...

Start with negative keywords, put as many as possible in order to stop unwanted traffic. Let it run and after a few days start workng on the adcopy. I would suggest you use 3 different adcopies with different msg on each. Hope it helps.

Make sure your current words are relevant as well, and focused. Try to focus your keywords better to describe exactly what you are offering. General words can be a waste, cost money if clicked, and result in lower positioning in some cases.

After running the campaing for a while, you should be able to see which keywords are pulling traffic and clicks, and which keywords are doing impressions with minimal clicks. I'd kill all the keyword phrases that are not converting to clicks. Remeber that your CTR is an average across your ad group - so if you're not getting a google average - remove the low CTR words and place them in another ad group - such that your current ad group will have less keywords - but they would be higher CTR keywords. This will increase your average CTR.

Also, consider that a click may not be what you are looking for - but rather targeted clicks are - so if your keywords are too board - like for example a single word phrase - you'll get alot of impressions - but little clicks. You could try being a little more specific in your keyword phrases, by dumping the (high impression) and low CTR keyword phrases is an easy way to improve this figure quickly.

Experiment with similar keywords and see what works better. I've used google's keyword help tool for this and had good results.

Create a new campaign...replica of your current campaign...now switch-off your content network. Also select 'rotate ads' options...now split test your ads. Select only english speaking countries...I usually select USA,UK,Canada & Australia only.

You must be aware of how much the chosen keywords & the ad copy can affect your CTR....so I dont need to stress on that anymore.
Also the next most critical part is ad-groups....must be group of closely related keywords. Ideally one keyword per ad-group but that's lot of work!

have an ad basically for 2-3 keywords with title matching keyword. This will bold it and stand out more.

Use numbers, symbols, question marks, to get readers attention, and if you want higher CTR .. you need to be in top 1-3 positions

    just my 2 cents

Only use exact , precise wording. For example, if you are selling laptops, bid on the term laptops instead of computers. By using this and other methods, I routinely get over a consistent 30% for many of my keywords on many products.
