Generally, you need around $70 a month for a decent server, or hosting. Then if you want, you can buy a design, or design one your self.

If you want me to set one up for you, please PM me.

I will make $5100-10,000 a month from my network.

But is it easy? No - I would advise all new people to the game to start low and easy, although start on a dedicated server. PHProxy is full of bugs, it may be less server intensive than CGIProxy but CGIProxy is more stable and can log into sites such as Myspace, etc. You must have experience with modding servers to maximize performance - simply uploading and opening the site without tweaking the server is a pretty stupid way of wasting server performance. Tweak apache, threads, and even cluster servers when you expand.

How long ago did you open this site? I've been wondering if its worth creating a proxy site.

It's worth it. Just try it out, only costs hosting, and if you want a pro design, the design costs.
Thanks LemonAden. Let me know how every thing goes ;)

Just opened my new network, privax.us - I will keep you all updated every so often (diary style) about the performance and profit. *One of the sites has been open for a year, so profit is not 100% from scratch.

Total Server Costs: $530 (2 servers)

    Total Initial Advertising Costs:
    $250 top 10 on proxy.org
    $60 3xBolded listings on proxy.org
$60 on myspace site advertising browse.ms
$97 on another myspace site for browse.ms
$25 on another proxy site for privax.us
$25 728x90 banner on another proxy site

    = $517

Total startup cost $1047 before profit!

Target: $10000-17000/month from 60 sites (before server costs) within 12 months ;)

The problem with proxy.org is they dont go straight to your homepage, they go straight to your proxified pages, if that makes any sense?

True, but you still make profit from proxified pages. If you are a paid lister (bolded or top 10 listing) he said he doesn't mind if it doesn't go to a proxified page, so you could just redirect users to the index.

Your on my MSN already i think. Btw, you should really use PHProxy, as I've found it makes more compared to CGIproxy.
Your name is Jack I think?

I never jump in with a hot 'commercial', but I'm currently upgrading this proxy finder.

All are welcome to find and promote proxies here. Many innovative changes coming soon, too, please consider a browser bookmark.

    Thanks
