    Hey,

Want to know how to go from nothing to $30 a day and 700,000 hits day? The answer is simple. Proxy.

I opened my site, to bypass things in school, and ended up making a fair bit of cash. I don't advertise, promote or anything. Now Hits roll in, and so does the cash :)

    Hey Sohan,

how did users find out about your proxy site without any marketing? Is it purely word of mouth? How long did it take you to reach this status?

    Congrats on your achievements :)

    Dreamhost, Layeredtech. I use both.

Start off by contacting Baron over at proxy.org, and get him to submit you. Then if you like PM me, and we can sort out a backlink. Thats how most of my other partners got onto this sort of traffic.

Nice job, is it 700,000 hits or 70,000 hits? Your title is a bit messed up.

Would you LE with my myspace site? Alexa rank is around 40,000.

He added himself to proxy lists. That way, every child molester, spammer, etc. can go to his website and use his proxy. In return he runs an ad in a frame.

    Proxies have been around forever.

there's many types of proxy. They are used mostly , for hackers like myself who want to stay anonymous online.

There's ssl , socks/5 , 1337 , web based. Many types. They are also used to bypass things..

I bought a turnkey proxy like two months ago. Never promoted or did anything to it (well joined some proxy top sites rankings and linked from my myspace site, some forum profiles and such) and got 3500 uniques a day now.

I'd get a few more proxies for a small network but I'd need another dedicated server for it and I can't afford that right now.

I can only imagine how low the CTR is. People are there to surf, not to click on ads.

I bet CPM (if they allow it) would be better.
