So I have been trying to use ad words with a horrible CTR of 0.07 or something.. My keywords are few and far between and are 100% relevant. I built my site/business on SEO based on these same keywords with out a problem.

I have 6 ad’s running and only two are getting clicked on.(one has 2 and one has 1).

From here do I just make more ad’s , reword them, and keep trying till my CTR improves?

I'm guessing you are using the content network. You might want to use managed placement instead of automatic.

Don't run six ads at a time. Test only two at a time.

Besides splitting your search campaigns out of your content campaigns and run less ads in each ad group, get yourself familiar with how Google Adwords quality score works for:

    • Google.com and search network
    • content network (keyword-targeted campaigns)
    • content network (placement-targeted campaigns)

My guess is that you're in a very competitive industry, so the best way is to improve the quality score (and the CTR).

I'm not sure if this helps, but I was recently reading a paragraph about CTR in adwords help, and it said if your CTR is below 1 your keywords probably aren't targeted..

    Example:
Your site is about dogs but your keyword is free cars..

Please disregard this if this is off topic.

Untargeted keywords definitely have an effect on your CTR. You can't however use a blanket statement such as "if it's below 1%". If you are on the second page, your CTR will take a hit. But Google compensates for that; QS is normalized by position. You can have a great QS with a CTR of 1%. Even on the first page, I've seen many keywords with low CTR unless they were in the top few positions. Some niches are just like that.
