ok here is the first impression of the owner :

Webmasterplace

1) They didn't use the newspaper theme. The company doesn't print cards, the company is hired by newspaper companies to print and deliver newspapers...

2) the logo has potential, i like the metallic part, but needs work, pretty simple

this is approximately what they have (not the real) try to improve it :



3) the front page should have a place to enter email to join newsletter...

4) the arrow in the banner is useless, let them integrate some sort of newspaper stack or a machine printing newspaper..

5) try to leave a space for the intro msg


Freshdesigners:

1) I don't really like, no logo, but I like that he integrated a slogan

2) I like the welcome intro part

They all did the same following the template, tell them to change it around, they can improvise to make different styles...

Hello all,

thank you for the updates, I spoke with the owner and got you some feedback! We're almost there, and there is a lot to chose from, so good job everyone.

Please note that they decided not to use a slogan.

Because we have a lot of feedback, we are extending the deadline for this competition until Monday 01/14/08 - 4:00 PM EST (NY time)

1) Too grey, we needed a bluer theme.
2) Also, the company prints newspapers not photos.

1) One of our favorites
2) The second version became a bit busy, too many boxes, it lost its professional look. Try to lose the box around Newsletter and Welcome. Maybe, center an intro message area, no image or anything, and below the three boxes a place for the newsletter, without a box. Use your judgement...
3) The font in the banner is not very nice, please use the following font: Candara (Italicized and Bold)
4) I'm not sure what you have in mind for a logo, but please use the image that I posted earlier and work from there. The owner seems to prefer the logo he designed as he hasn't seen anything nicer so far.
5) Please remove the slogan, and the mirror image of the words. Let's keep it simple. If you can integrate some sort of newspaper something in it, it'll be great.

1) Nice banner, the idea of having the W inside the B was interesting. The name is misspelled, it should be "B Waters Printing" there is an S after Water.
2) Please put some pictures so we can have a better idea of the full look.
3) Please add a newsletter form in the center below the boxes.
4) Lose the slogan, he's not going to use a slogan for now.



So far, our favorites are webmasterplace & freshdesigners's layouts, but the competition isn't over, so everyone still has a chance.

ok here is my revised entry. I wasnt sure what image to put in for the list services box, so i just placed one there so they can get a feel of what it will look like.

1)Please when you remove the slogan, also center the newsletter at the bottom.
