@hosting.network: The server where the site is located is at FDC. The servers file-services.com is selling are in Scranton, Pennsylvania

@cfipilot: All the licenses are monthly (like everywhere in the host industry).

 

Ordered dedicated plan 1 quite some time ago and no answer yet.

Was answered, apparently they called up the datacenter to retrieve the server.
Will wait it out and report back here soon guys

We expect some to pop up next Friday (28th)

Till then we have some VPS.

I don't ask ppl to leave an itrader. + A lot were sold to ppl not from dp.

To zeldaze i offered a VPS which is pretty good for those specs. That's all I can offer till Friday zeldaze. Sorry.

Ok, I got a message today saying that they do not carry my server anymore and that they want me to purchase something better and more expensive. After asking for a refund they refuse to issue me one stating that they do not give refunds for dedicated servers.

if they'd really stolen your money...you'd have been very angry and would have given a more detailed explanation
I have a server with these guys and they're pretty nice.
I think we need the whole story here...but cabron is apparently off on vacation.

Ok, well they are apparently saying my payment was "fraud" and that PayPal put the funds on hold.
I paid from a completely legit PayPal account...
I will sort this out with PayPal, my pardon to this company if I was wrong.

 

Well, the funds could possibly be in dispute..why don't you check the paypal account which you used to pay the money, it might be having some open disputes OR paypal might have limited access to the account and filed disputes on all recent transactions(it happens sometimes.)...
You should check such petty things before bashing a host's name in public
