Google will take no action since Google is not fond of guys who sell links. If you get scammed, bad luck.
The worst thing that can happen as a result of buying/selling links is a Google Penalty. Whether it is just a -50 drop or the kiss of death (deindexing) it depends on who reviewed the site. Nonetheless, most sites that sell links now Post-Panda 3.3 do not include link reports as it secures their networks better.
Yes. I like their service and would not mind putting a link. However, I should have an option to put the link with nofollow. However I am just amazed by the threat to take legal action and not simply disable serving the widget. What if they change their mind later and just sue me because the SEO strategy also did not work out for them? The problem is much deeper the way I look at it.
