    It's worth watching again.. The moral implications and underlying lessons in the story are pretty relevant today...

    Anyway, I don't think I've ever tossed my cat, he's way too fat! I know I used to throw my kid up in the air and catch him when he was a baby, which is probably not too far off from this.

    The Jerk is an absolute classic. He lost his money because his invention - the glasses, "Opti-Grab" - make people cross-eyed. Director Carl Reiner's cameo as the guy leading the class-action lawsuit charge is priceless, as is Martin's "that's all I need..." followed by the most inane pieces of little belongings that he needs..."and, this pencil. I need that....and, and...this piece of paper, I need that, too, but that's all I need...and, uh, my TV remote....and...".

    Great closing credits, with Martin and Bernadette Peters returning to the shanty, and Martin dancing a jig.

    Hysterical.
