ahhahahah, your new here, so DMOZ is very very very slow, some submissions take years to get approved, wait your turn, dont submit too many times, might piss someone off

Every time you resubmit your website, it apparently gets sent to the back of the review queue. Only resubmit your details if something about your website has altered significantly.

Ok what makes you sure your site was worth getting listed into dmoz? Remember not all are dmoz acceptable so submitting and keep waiting is not a solution, best is to improve your site and add more and more original content.

    Cheers

What is the site you submitted to DMoz ?

I have only one of my sites in DMoz (Which is a non commercial site). I dont waste time submitting others as I know it won't be listed that easily.

No so, the "queue" can be accessed by a few tools and viewed in an astounding number of ways.

Personally I scan for the easy approves and rejects and get them out of the way first.

I'm tired of submitting my website to DMOZ and not indexed now. I completely forget it and just submit to any other directories which can index my website.

Why do you find it tireing? There is never a need to submit more than once. Have you submitted more than once? That might be why they have not listed you yet.

Maybe DMOZ is tired of you spamming them with all those submissions.

    See above:

Yes and no, if no editor visits that category for years website will never be listed, resubmission can only be useful if category is maintained regularly but since there is no way to know if you got rejected and why best thing would be to paste here link, description and category so it could be evaluated if it is listable, does description needs changes and if the category is correct.

My alexa rank 29,000 and my pagerank is 5, and ı have 100,000 pages in google index. They don't check the categories, ı mean editors of category
    ı agree with Ivan Bajlo.

The editors are volunteers. If the category is of no specific interest to a volunteer and the other categories have existing queues then it is possible for the editor to focus on the area they have expertise/interest in.

In a perfect world they would treat all categories the same.

Example: If you were an editor of a computer topic you might have a 100 subcategories looking at the technical and sales topics. All the widgets will be divided up by type. All the programming methodologies associated with the language or hardware etc. Now you may be fascinated by the methodologies but not that interested in trawling through all released software (or vice versa). So the methodologies would be cleared quickly while you work more slowly through the released software.

Which in plain English means your lucky if takes only few months for single editor who covers several dozens of subcategories to work through them all. :(

i would blame slow inclusion on lack of editors. If there is no editor for a particular category, the site will never get approved.
dmoz needs more editors but also it takes an editor to approve and editor, so its a vicious slow progress circle.

Plus people need to know about DMOZ in order to apply as editor in the first place and most people who know about DMOZ are webmasters who only want to list there own website.
