Thanks in advance Šéx.com someone on namepros is looking to sell it i am thinkin to buy it. I checked estibot it says 3200$ (somethin like that) please lemme know i wanna buy this before someone else punches the seller
Are you joking? Do you mean sex.com??? LOL! The highest ever recorded valued domain sale in history??? For $3k! I'll have a piece of that...
So worth or no whats the value btw? and IDN domains are like that only and i am thinkin to buy Šéx and not SEX.com there is a diffrence in the "s" and "e"
Well, not sure, i mean it can be good if people are nerds and know ascii codes for special characters, but porn watchers most probably arent. So not sure, you can get a better registration urself, just change the S to more stylish ~KMKM
Thanks for replies mr. kmkm its not my domain yet, i am still thinkin to buy it some value to it will be great, so i don waste more money
Hmm, ok - sorry, but I didn't know that you could even make those characters. I don't think I would buy it - like they said, not great for seo, and not many people could even type it.
I have to agree, its not worth anything really. If you can buy it for reg fee, why not, as a curiosity.
If anyone here thought it was worth buying, they would tell you its not worth buying and buy it themselves. tbh, you will hardly ever get a true, good opinion on posts like these...
That is an IDN domain isn't it? I'd probably value at reg price to be honest. Come on who types Sex.com in with them weird things above the letters? No one. I got $80 for a single IDN domain which was 3chars (LLL.com) but in IDN. No funny symbols etc. Still wasn't a 3 char domain. I sold mine on ebay.
No, I'm pretty sure he meant Šéx.com, which is an IDN. Personally, unless it's an actual word in a foreign language where IDNs make sense, I wouldn't rush out to get it, unless, or course, you got if for an absolute steal. But I'm not an IDN expert, don't own or have plans to own them either.
yeah go ahead! Its a nice offer but the only problem I feel that porn watchers wont be knowing about different IDN domains...... If you are targeting traffic from a particular country, then it seems fine.
I wouldn't buy it. I see no value, at all. You have to think like the average user, not like a webmaster.
Well, the value, which i think is only abour xx$ , lol! Really, it isnt worth that much money. Just relax and brainstorm yourself for a new and innovative name Regards, ~KMKM
well m8 to be honest, i didn't know that such names exists... so, yea u must think like the average user... i wouldn't buy it for more then $xx...
Don't know what you're still confused about either. Go onto Namepros & look at the appraisals of this name there. The seller is asking for appraisals of it.
As a disclaimer, I must tell you that I am probably the biggest proponent of IDNs on this forum (as far as I can tell). I have thousands of IDN domains. I have only a few domains like this (e.g. ♀♀.com, 1¢.com, ṩ.com, etc.). I have these few that I keep because I like them. I do know (from experience) that no one will ever, ever type them in. Some might copy-paste them in to see what is there, but they are merely collectibles. It is a waste of money if you ever expect anyone to type it in. Forget return visitors. Even a garbage string of four characters can be remembered and typed in. These cannot. Spend your time and money registering real words instead of these types of domains. You can buy decent single word IDN domains right now in nearly any script/language including French, Spanish, German, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, etc. over at other forums (not sure if the forum rules allow me to list the other forums here). If you really really think it is cool, then get it. But do not ever expect it to make its own reg fee. If you want to go that far, then just get the pure Cyrillic letter version (ѕех) that looks exactly like the ASCII/Latin version. The .ws and .cc are still available. Any possible TM issues are just as relevant to Šéx as the Cyrillic letters 'ѕех'. It will still never make reg fee. Bottomline is that Šéx.com will never be any better than an ASCII/Latin domain because it is a copy/paste name. No one will ever type that in. I will bet you reg fee on that. If you just want an IDN, I'll push one to you for free. Nothing special, but PM me.
First off, the domain is very difficult to type in the majority of users would have a lot of trouble with it. Secondly it holds no value in terms of SEO. The only way a webmaster could promote it is through links and banner links because then a user could just click on it, and evne if they did access the site and liked it, if they wanted to return to it they wouldnt be able to type in the ACII codes. Value: Low. Not worth buying.
