¿wordpress or drupal for an online newspaper?

    Hi guys!

I like so much wordpress, that I'd like to continue working with it forever. But I've just knew that drupal has many features, very sophisticated ones specially to build an online newspaper. As I want to start an online newspaper project and I'd like very much to know your opinion as wp's users or drupal's.
Is wp less professional than drupal?? I mean for a big long time project....
    I know Forbes.com and www.nowpublic.com uses drupal...

    thanks

I would choose according to the number of contributors. If you're the only writer, stick with Wordpress. If you plan to have a full team, then Drupal will be better.

If your webhost refuses to give you good service,
find another. There are literally thousands to choose from.

Wordpress. Quick to use, tons of skins, tons of plugins, fast indexing. Ideal for quick story posting.

If you are strong technically, go with Drupal. If you are not strong technically, go with Joomla.

Drupal is very well written, but not intuitive. Joomla is poorly written, but it is more intuitive.

The Drupal add-ons integrate more easily than the Joomla add-ons. But the Joomla community support is better than the Drupal community support. The Drupal community has little tolerance for anyone who asks basic questions.

I participated as contributor in a couple of blogs and they were wordpress.

    yes, i did it

Im' not strong technically. But I saw many features tha t has drupal and they are awsome!!!!
I've been working with joomla a lot and there are several things you cannot do because the system doesnt allow you to. Is not so flexible as it seems to be.

Use Drupal with modules like CCK and Views for unlimited layout and presentation possibilities. Also grid framework is a must easy column generation.

Yes, drupal lacks lots of good looking theme. But you can hire a good designer to edit your theme unique and cool looking.

    Good points with Drupal are:
    1. Its very light. Pages are loaded very fastly.
    2. Its powerful with lots of plugin.
    3. Can be used for multipurpose, like it has inbuilt module for forum, e-commerce etc.

wordpress has much more themes than drupla. but you only need to find one good theme. if there is no drupla theme you like. you can either hire one to build one from cratch or port a wordpress theme, which is quite easy, considering that you almost don't need to touch the css file.

Wordpress is easy you can run on with little effort but you can only do so much.

I would run Wordpress until you run into stuff you can’t do with it then it might be worth the extra time to run Drupal. You can do a lot with Drupal..

    Joomal is garbage.
