I came across these two competitors when doing research for my client. We have two sites that are ranking for "boxing rings", not a very popular term, but its popular for conversion traffic as its pretty specific.

    Google.com :

    http://www.taosport.co.uk/shop/boxing/boxingrings.htm
    http://www.ukboxingrings.co.uk

Both these sites are in no way comparison, in terms of SEO, Blog campaigns, link building, PPC, video marketing and article marketing backed site:

    http://www.fit-box.com/products.asp?Category=117

I find this incredibly bazaar! I mean look at Google search results for UKBoxRings - They don't even have a title tag!

Tip for anyone wanting to spend 50k on some e-commerce sites - spend it on PPC! And make a site in HTML in notepad!

Yes, thats the way to chump on SEO. I can't believe that site though. Its terrible. Nothing to do with webmaster guidelines. Does Google ever respond to webmaster central?

I checked google.com for 'boxing rings'...slightly different results were there than u told but nevertheless i found ur site equally useful to others in top10 (n better than few)..few imp factors i found that ur site is lacking in are:

u dont hav ur keywrd 'boxing ring' in ur URL while all ur competitors in top10 hav the exact match..
u must find a good dynamic url rewriter(i think u r unaware of other major problems wid dynamic urls)...do it quick!

ur pr seems to be 0..may b it has been dropped recently bcoz f excessive low quality link building if yes then u r under sand box effect(hope not)...get some quality links asap n do sme press releases

or it is (PR0) bcoz of, u hav much focused on Wikipedia backlinks, while no link juice passes through them

SEO is still alive bro...best of luck:)

LMAO, well if the site was better optimized then you would do alot better, dynamic urls being the biggest problem but the page/site could be improved in many more ways.

If thats truely how much has been spent on that site then somebody has managed to waste alot of cash cos its not anywhere close to the level it should be at after that much investment.
