I have been watching this forum for a while and tought to participate a bit,
    anyway ,

I see real movements in the keywords I track , more than the usual slight movements ... I think its the time for the google dance :)

other people see more than normal movement ?
I saw a prediction date for this update on the 27th ... so its about the expected time

None more than usual. I was under the impression the major updates are about every 3 months. I would guess March would be the next major update, if that assertion is correct.

I just had a couple huge jumps, from 100's to top 3 spots, but that was bound to happen sooner or later.

Googlebot has visited my site 62 times today, usually it only visits once a day.
Does this mean there is an update coming soon?

Wow, I'd agree the update is on. Gbot has been stopping by daily for the last week or so. I had one tracked KW phrase jump from 9999 to 24, I think the fix is on... the site does very well in top 3 for all keywords in MSN...same thing happens in Google with the now infamous "-asdf" filter enabled. Supression is a drag.

216.239.37.99 looks slightly different to me. Others look pretty stable. PR is stable on my sites. My keyword tracker shows a little movement in my keywords, a little less than normal, but that's been going on for a few days now.

I have not seen any major changes in our real estate industry for serps, but there has been some minor changes and flux in some of the DCs. I dont know if the update is here or just a precurser to a major update.

The kw trackertool shows all my keywords dropped out in the void, but actually in a real search they are still there.

Just think about it for a second...

    ..

    ..

    ..

You assume that say Feb 5 there will be an update. So what does Google do? A couple of days before it will deep crawl all 8 billion pages? BULLSHIT! Just imagine the resources. It's a crap theory which just isn't true. People get hit by bots ALL the time. No matter whether it's a minute after, right in between or just before a so called update. They crawl continuously, the update continuously. It's only a 'dance' when the tweaks are BIG enough to be seen accross the board. Bwteeen the 'dances' they still update their index and they still update their algos.

Not to change the subject but at this point I dont really think it matters when Google dances, I personally believe they are way behind. Even though MSn doesnt have the number of pages in its engine, I had a few post I made yesterday and within hours they were cached and showing as BLs in MSN...to me that tells me google is in trouble.

If MSN can index and cache that fast, they will leave Google in the wind. Come over to the light side of the force Luke, the dark side of Google is going to fade.
